James Eugene McClure, 70, of Lindsey, died early Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at home, surrounded by his family. He was born on July 25, 1940 in Fremont to John and Mellba (Lash) McClure. James worked at Nickles Bakery until it closed and then as a laborer at the Fremont Foundry. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, biking and going to the Lindsey Caf for coffee with the boys. James was a member of Bethel United Bretheran Church.
Surviving is his son, Vern (Lisa) McClure of Fremont; grandchildren, Christian, Matthew, James, Bethany, Melanie Lulu and Erin; great grandchildren, Aleix, McKenna, Mariah, Marshal, Isiah, Kaden James and Zoe; one sister, Betty Miller also survives. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Jeannie, children, James Eugene Jr. and Big Baby Girl; siblings, Helen Young, Mary Aldrich and Thomas E. McClure.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 17, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Bethel United Bretheran Church, 2920 S. SR 590 (corner of 590 and Elmore East), Elmore, with Norman Pickett officiating.
