Jean E. McDaniel

Jean E. (Warner) McDaniel, 86 of Kansas died Thursday, March 20, 2008 at her home. She was born on January 11, 1922 in Fostoria, Ohio to Loring V. & Lucy (Fundom) Warner. Jean graduated in 1940 from Fostoria High School. She loved collecting antiques, teddy bears, traveling and country music. Jean especially enjoyed her monthly luncheons with the Class of 1940. On October 31, 1944 she married Harry B. McDaniel in Fostoria and he died on June 18, 2001. Jean along with her husband were the owners and operators of McDaniel Insurance Agency in Bettsville retiring in 1981. Surviving is her daughter; Linda Lee Smith of Port Clinton and special extended family and friends; Clark Boatman and Diane Fruchey. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a brother Edgar Warner. Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 24, 2008 at Kansas Cemetery, Kansas at 11:00 AM with Pastor Kevin Dotts officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Kansas United Methodist Church, Hospice of Memorial Hospital or to the Kansas Volunteer Fire Department.
