Harlan B. Meadows, 72, of Helena died late Friday evening at Memorial Hospital. He was born in Greenup, KY to William and Amy (Nance) Meadows. Harlan was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Germany during the Korean War. On Aug. 28, 1953, he married Sarah J. Brooks in Vanceburg, KY and she survives in Helena. Harlan worked in construction for Mosser Construction and Meyers Construction. He also owned his own business, cutting and selling standing timber. Surviving are children, Amy Bernice Meadows and Joann (Gary) Hemminger of Helena, Donald L. Meadows of Lima, John Meadows of Helena and Shawnda (Jeremy) Schmeltz of Gibsonburg, 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and sisters Maysel (Benny) Domrose of MI and Hazel (Don) Hardyman of Bucyrus. He is preceded by children, Barbara Sue and Judy K. Meadows; brothers, Bruce M. and Bill Meadows along with his parents.
