Ray Martin Messer

Gibsonburg resident, Ray Martin Messer, age 57, died Thursday morning, December 17, 2009 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg.

Ray was born on March 21, 1952 in Walton County, Georgia to the now deceased Martin William and Marie (Smith) Messer. He worked as a machine builder at Epco in Fremont. Ray was a motorcycle and hot rod enthusiast and enjoyed spending time in his garage wrenching on vehicles.

Surviving him is his son Little Raymond (Bonnie Bellner) Barrow-Messer of Gibsonburg; former companion Dawn (Barrow) Wolf of Woodville and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 12:00 p.m., at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Gibsonburg. Rev. Fritz Merkes will officiate. Friends will be received at the funeral home Monday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.

Burial will be at West Union Cemetery, Gibsonburg.
