Richard F. Dick Miller, 77, born in Elkhart, Indiana, April 12, 1930, died Sunday evening at the Cleveland Clinic. After a 3 year stint in the Army Air Force, attended the University of Notre Dame and started his construction career in 1953 with George W. Lathrop & Sons, Inc., joining Mosser Construction, Inc. in 1954. Dick retired from Mosser in 2000 as Vice President, Secretary and Chief Estimator. He continued as a member of the Board of Directors. Throughout his career Dick has served on professional groups connected with the construction industry for over 30 years as a management trustee, including several terms as Chairman of the Ohio Bricklayers State Pension and Health Insurance Funds, a member of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, Chairman of the Apprenticeship Committee of Local 46 Bricklayers & Allied Craftsmen and a member of the Advisory Board for the International Masonry Institute for Great Lakes Region 5. Dicks many years of experience as an Estimator was shared with students at Terra Community College where he taught an Estimating Class for several years. Dicks wife is Margaret E. Peggi Bliss to whom he was married in 1980. They are long time members of the Fremont Country Club. Dick and Peggis children are Cheryl Houdeshell of Australia, Mary (Dale) Beaver of Fremont, Jack (Christine) Cosentino of Urbana, Joe Cosentino of Sandusky, Dennis (Terri) Stewart of Bellevue, Jody Cosentino of Fremont & Phil Miller of Stem, NC. The Millers are also blessed with 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Also surviving Richard is his brother, Philip Miller of Port Orange, FL. Visitation will be on Thursday, August 2, 2007 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont. Services will be on Friday at 10 a.m. at the Victory Christian Fellowship with Pastor Scott Robles officiating. There will also be one hour of visitation at the church from 9 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Hayes Presidential Center or Victory Christian Fellowship.
