Lillian Millhon, 95, of Cambridge, formerly of Salesville, died Friday (March 27, 2009) at Victorian Oaks, where she resided.
She was born May 31, 1913, in Salesville, daughter of the late Owen and Catherine (Roe) Hull.
Mrs. Millhon was a faithful member of the Salesville Church of Faith and was the first lady mayor in the State of Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Cecil Millhon, whom she married Aug. 8, 1929, and who died in 1985; a brother, Pete Hull; two grandchildren, Brian Zmij and Lori Long Kinn; and two daughters, Lila Yansura and June Long.
She leaves a son, Philip G. (Deborah) Millhon of Freeport; two daughters, Joyce Goodwin of Cambridge and Mariella (Don) DuBois of Wooster; a son-in-law, Harold Long of Findlay; a brother, Bill (Becky) Hull of Senecaville; and a "loving sister," Helen Bates of Salesville; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and a special cousin, Madeline Long.
Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Monday at Salesville Church of Faith, where services will be 3 p.m. with Dr. Jim Lee and Evangelist John Neff officiating.
Burial will be in Salesville Cemetery.
