Myron H. Minich

Myron H. Jack Minich, 68 of Gibsonburg, died early Friday morning at his residence. He was born on May 24, 1937 to Myron W. and Eunice (Schoendorf) Minich, in Fremont. His mother survives in Gibsonburg. Jack was a 1955 graduate of Gibsonburg High School and was a lifelong farmer. He also worked at Dolite Lime Plant in Gibsonburg. On March 14, 1969 he married Sue E. Baker at Grace Lutheran Church in Elmore. She preceded him in death on December 5, 2003. Jack was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Hessville, a past member of the Sandusky County Sportsman Club and enjoyed following the Cleveland Indians Baseball Team and the Cleveland Browns Football Team. He also enjoyed going to flea markets and mushroom hunting.

Jack is survived by stepchildren, Angela (Allen) Wells of Littleton, CO, Gloria (Jon) LaPlant of Gibsonburg; sisters, Norma (Jim) Fought of Gibsonburg, Katie OConnor of Port Clinton; several nieces and nephews, 10 step-grandchildren and 2 step-great grandchildren. Preceding him in death is his father, Myron; a stepson Frank Firman III and sister Betty Jane Oprie.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Gibsonburg. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Dennis Wanstiler officiating. Burial will follow at Hessville Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Hospice of Memorial Hospital or Oncology Dept. at Memorial Hospital.
