Dorothy Helen Moll

June 30, 1926 — July 3, 2006

Dorothy Helen Moll 80 of Gibsonburg is now in heaven with her beloved husband Buddy. Mrs. Moll was born in Woodville to Gaylord & Birdie (Wright) Decker. She married Walter Moll on May 22, 1946 and they had three children, Joyce (Dan) Ross, Walter Jr. (Kathy) Moll all of Fremont, and Shirley (Larry) Blausey of Pemberville. They were also loving parents to many foster children over the years. Dorothy was an employee of Fremont Memorial Hospital for twenty years retiring in 1984. She attended church at Victory Christian Fellowship in Fremont. She was a life member of the Welker Smith American Legion Auxiliary. While she participated in many legion activities, her main focus was remembering the American prisoners of war in honor of her late husband Walter, who was held captive in Germany during WWII. She was a member of Extraordinary Women and enjoyed going on many bus trips with WSOS and the Golden Threads. She was also well known for her beautifully decorated cutout cookies and delicious lemon pies. She is survived by her children, sisters; Fran Greenley and Shirley Stiffler of Woodville, ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Her loving and kind nature will be remembered by all who knew her. Her faith was constant and comforting and we feel truly blessed to have had her in our lives. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Walter on August 5, 1993. Visitation will be Thursday, July 6, 2006 from 3-8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Gibsonburg. Services will be held on Friday July 7, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Scott Robles officiating. Burial will follow at West Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Otterbein Portage Valley, Luther Meadows Retirement Home, Welker Smith American Legion or to Victory Christian Fellowship Building Fund.
