Zona V. Myers, age 98, of Gibsonburg died early Tuesday morning, December 9, at the Bethesda Care Center in Fremont.
Born on July 22, 1910 in Risingsun, she was the daughter of Ross and Elizabeth (Niswander) Burns. Zona was a homemaker and enjoyed painting. She was a member of the Fremont Area Artist Club and her works have been displayed at area art shows and have been distributed in several states. She was joined in marriage to Franklin Myers in Monroe, Michigan on April 16, 1930 and he passed away on June 8, 1990.
Surviving Zona are siblings Delorus Clabaugh of Colorado, Millard Bill Burns of Gibsonburg, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Donald Burns and Claude Burns; and sister, Virginia Cunningham.
Visitation will be on Thursday, December 11, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg. Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday at West Union Cemetery in Gibsonburg with Rev. Fritz Merkes officiating.
