Dorothy Dottie Nicholas, 68, of Fremont died Sunday evening, March 27, 2005, at the Countryside Continuing Care Center in Fremont. She was born in Mount Clemons, Michigan on October 28, 1936 to George and Dorothy M. (Allor) Kratz. Dot was a homemaker and also worked as a waitress and housekeeper for the Holiday Inn in Fremont. A member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Fremont and its womens circle, she was a social member of the Fremont VFW Post and a former league bowler at both Plaza and Maple Lanes. Dorothy married George Nicholas at St. Johns on March 12, 1971 and he survives. Also surviving is her step daughter, Sue Feighner of Fremont and siblings: Edwin (Shirely) Kratz, CA, George (Barbara) Kratz, Jr., MI, Mary (Alton) Price, LA, Lillian Miller, MI, Leonard (Shirley) Kratz, Victoria Kratz both of MI, Victor Kratz, CT, Patricia Kratz, Robert Kratz, Karvin Kratz and Leo Kratz all of MI. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Friday at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Fremont where visitation will be Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Kingsway. Memorials may be made to the church.
