Betty E. "Betty" Oldham

Ruth E. "Betty" Oldham, 88, of Fremont, died Thursday afternoon at St. Francis Health Care Centre, Green Springs. She was born in Fremont to the no-deceased Bryan C. and Ruth R. (Overmyer) Burkett. Ruth graduated from Ross High School in 1933 and later married LaFayette I. Oldham on Nov. 22, 1945, he died Feb. 22, 2004. Surviving are daughters, Caroline (Don) Clink, and Julie (Harold "Butch") Schwert; son, Larry (Kathy) Oldham; seven grandchildren, on great-grandchild, two foster grandchildren, three foster great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, seven step great-grandchildren, one step-great-grandchild; brothers, Bud and Richard (Janet) Burkett; sisters, Benevieve (Charles ) Hensley, Margaret (Homer) Brown and Patricia (Donald) Schanke. Ruth is preceded by her parents, husband, and sisters, Suzanne Burkett and Helen Creighton. Visitation was on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Services were held on Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial was at Metzgar Cemetery, Helena.
