Albert Onderko, Sr

Albert Onderko Sr., 66 of Gibsonburg, died Wednesday evening in the emergency room of Memorial Hospital, Fremont. He was born on June 3, 1940 in Tower Hill, PA to the now deceased Joe and Anna (DeBolt) Onderko. On November 27, 1964, he married Cecelia Urani at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Republic, PA. She died June 15, 1989. Albert was a stock controller for Ford Motor Company in Woodhaven, MI until retiring in 1996. He was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church, Gibsonburg, a member of the Moose and he loved going to Pittsburgh to watch the Steelers games.

Surviving is a son, Albert Jr. of Gibsonburg; daughter, Theresa Onderko of North Manchester, IN and granddaughter, Kayla Nicole Onderko; siblings, Harry, Joe Sr., and Raymond Onderko, Marie Yocabet, Harry Wilson and Rose Schaffer all of Republic, PA. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife and siblings, Helen and James Onderko, Robert and Henry Wilson.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. with a wake service at 8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg. Additional visitation will be on Tuesday 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. at the Kish Funeral Home in Republic, PA. A Prayer Service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Republic, PA. Burial will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park in Briar Hill, PA.
