Ruth G. Otermat 91 formely of 1902 Buckland Ave. Fremont died Sunday evening at Elmwood Assisted Living. She was born on February 10, 1913 in Green Bay, WI to the late James & Grace (Benner) Tracy. Ruth was a 1930 graduate of Ross High School and also graduated from Bowling Green Teachers College in 1933 . Ruth was a teacher from the time of graduation until she married Ezra Otermat on July 24, 1937 at Grace Lutheran Church, and he died on September 8, 1987. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, the Altar Guild, Womens Hope Missionary Circle, and past member of the Fremont Federation of Women. Ruth loved gardening and reading. Surviving are sons; Michael (Linda )Otermat of Napoleon and Jim (Linda) Otermat of Fremont, grandchildren; Thomas (Pam) Otermat of Lake Wales, FL, Kim (Mike) Bossetti of Marblehead, Matthew (Jill) Otermat of Fremont and Jill Otermat of Portland, OR. She is also survived by great-grandchildren; Derek, Nicole and Kayla Otermat, Katie, Michael, Nicholas and Sarah Bossetti, Nate, Amber and Miranda Otermat, and nieces and a nephews. Ruth is survived by one sister; Jane (Gary) Miels of W. Palm Beach, FL, and is preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister; Bernice Bunny Davis. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 7-9 PM at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church at 11:00 AM where her body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church.
