Alice E. Overmyer, 92, formerly of Lindsey, died Tuesday morning at Bethesda Care Center, Fremont. She was born on June 14, 1914 to the now deceased Sylvester and Nora (Mauk) Paul in Gibsonburg. Alice was a 1932 graduate of Gibsonburg High School. On April 28, 1940 she married Ralph Chuck Overmyer, he died in 1989. Alice was a loving wife and mother. She worked in the cafeteria at Washington (Lindsey) school for 15 years. Alice was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Lindsey, its Spring Circle, Friendship Circle, AARP, a member of the Hayes Presidential Center and a volunteer for Share and Care. She also taught Sunday School for many years
Surviving are children, Paul Smokey (Cheryl) Overmyer of Lindsey, Patricia Payton (Fred Lamkin)of Columbus, David Overmyer (Kay Knepper)of Lindsey; grandchildren, Kyle (Melanie) Overmyer of Clyde, Tracy (Tom Halm) Overmyer of Lindsey, Kathy Payton of Florida, Kim Payton of Columbus, Karen (Bill) Rohrbaugh of Perrysburg, Sarah Sprenger of Fremont; and 7 great grandchildren, Dillon, MiKayla, Austin, Lauren, Billy, Pierce and Lance. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 13 at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Lindsey with Pastor Todd Gates officiating. Visitation will be from 10 11 a.m. at the church prior to the services.
Burial will follow at Lindsey Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church or Bethesda Care Center.
