Eleanor W. Peck 93, of Helena died Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at Windsor Lane Health Care Center, Gibsonburg. She was born on February 3, 1915 in Helena to the now deceased Merritt and Ruby (Holcomb) Lindsey. On October 2, 1973 she married Cecil Peck and he passed away on February 27, 2000. Eleanor was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church, Helena where she had taught Sunday school for a number of years and sang in the choir and also was a member of the Shiloh Ladies Aid Society. Eleanor loved children, animals and playing the piano. She was also very active in gardening and her flowers.

Eleanor was a housewife and is survived by her step-children; Mary Kipplen of Ashburn, GA, Leta (James) Shaffer of Woodville, Karen (Richard) Springer of Fremont, Allen Charlie (Karen) Peck of Gibsonburg, 22 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and 33 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Chalmer H Metzler who died on August 11, 1969 and two step-daughters; Janice Gabel and Shirley Costantini.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2008 at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Funeral services will he held on Friday at the funeral home at 3:00 PM with visitation one hour prior to the services. Pastor Ben Lyttle will officiate. Burial will follow at Quinshan Cemetery, Gibsonburg.

Memorial contributions may be made to Shiloh United Methodist Church or to the Helena Volunteer Fire Department in Eleanors memory.
