Nancy A. Phillips, age 72, of rural Clyde died Sunday morning, May 11, at the Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland. She was born on January 24, 1936 in Fremont to the now deceased Wilmer E. and Mayme (Hoffman) Timmons. Nancy graduated from Jackson-Burgoon High School in 1955. She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. Nancy had worked at Frischs Big Boy and she also cleaned Dr. Nunnemakers dental offices. She was a secretary for Fremont Baptist Temple, Clyde Baptist Church, and Woodlawn Baptist Church. On April 12, 1955 she married Doyle E. Phillips at the Burgoon United Methodist Church and he survives in Clyde. Nancy was a member of the Fremont Baptist Temple and was a born again Christian who loved the Lord!! She wanted to be remembered for her great love for children.
Also surviving are her children, Doyle W. (Kathy) of Vickery, Toby (Kellie) of Bellevue and Valeria (Shawn) Carter of Clyde; Seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; siblings, Rosalyn McCawley of Oregon, John (Helen) Timmons of Port Clinton, Pat Behnke of Oak Harbor and Bea (William) Parker of Tiffin. She is preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Rev. B.R. Hatfield will officiate. Burial will follow at Bakerstown Cemetery, Clyde. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the donors choice in Nancys memory.
