Robert Price, age 79 , died Saturday afternoon, September 1, in his Lindsey home.
Born on August 28, 1928 in Bridgeport, Connecticut to the now deceased William and Myrtle (Brundage) Price, Bob attended Gibsonburg Schools and served in US Navy towards the end of WWII. He married Ann Pauline Angelone in 1953. She survives.
Early in his working career, Robert worked as a Tool and Die maker for Herbrand. He later owned and operated the Price Tool and Die in Hessville, which he ran for nearly 40 years.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, boating, gardening and canning vegetables, music, dancing, political debates, summer picnics with his family and friends and auction sales. He was also a lifetime member of the Fremont Eagles.
Robert is survived by his wife, children Paula (Richard) Fahle, LuAnn (John) Brecheisen and David (Beverly) Price all of Lindsey, grandchildren Michael Lee Fahle, Grady Paul Brecheisen, Emily Lynne, Daniel Abram and James Ezra Price, and siblings Leona (Gene) Schneider of Delaware and William (Jean) Price of Florida.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Cheryl Ann Price and sister Lucille Van Ness Depner.
Graveside memorial services will be at the Washington Chapel Cemetery, Fremont on Saturday, September 8, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Following the memorial, the family will receive guests for a luncheon and to celebrate his life at the home of Richard and Paula Fahle in Lindsey. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those who wish to remember Robert, make a non-perishable food or monetary donation to the Gibsonburg Food Pantry, 116 South Main St., Gibsonburg as one of his greatest enjoyments in life was growing vegetables to share at his table.
