Betsy Jo Reineck

Betsy Jo Reineck, 69, of Fremont, died on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Countryside Continuing Care Center, Fremont. She was born on June 23, 1940 in Fremont to George and Bernice (Druckenmiller) Shanahan. Betsy was a graduate of Fremont Ross High School. In 1968 she married James Reineck in Monroe MI and he preceded her in death on November 20, 2000. Betsy was a housecleaner for many years, a bartender at the Fremont Moose Lodge, retiring in 2008 and worked at the store at Memory Marina. She was a member of the Fremont Moose Lodge and enjoyed fishing, cooking and spending time outdoors.

Betsy is survived by her children: James Leaser, Cathy Lyons, both of Fremont, Pam Hagen of Bowling Green and Suzie Hamilton of MI; grandchildren, Grant Harrison & Sherry Walker; siblings, Ron (Fran) Shanahan of Lima, Sharon Frantz, Terry (Shirley) Shanahan, Tim (Joan) Shanahan, all of Fremont, Mike (Diane) Shanahan of FL, Kathleen (Tom) Smith and Peggy Norton of Fremont. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, George Shanahan Jr.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Memorial Hospital, 430 S. Main St., Clyde, OH 43410.
