Larry D. Richter, 71 of Fremont died Tuesday evening, January 4, 2005, at his home.
He was born on August 2, 1933 in St. Louis, Michigan to Donald F. and Lois Mozelle Powers. Larry graduated from Fremont Ross and later fought in the Korean Conflict as a Navy Sea Bee stationed in Japan and the Philippines. He then worked as a supervisor at Chemi-trol and G. W. Sugar Co. An active member of the former Fremont Christian Center, now the Cathedral of Praise-East, Larry also enjoyed piloting airplanes, golfing and fishing.
He married Ida A. Kutzli on September 14, 1957 at the First English Lutheran Church in Gibsonburg. She survives. Also surviving are his sons Eric J. (Karen) of Helena, Ryan K. (Amy) of Fremont and James K. (Stephanie) of Sandusky, grandchildren Patrick, Matthew, Nicole, Alesha, Brandon and Alex, sisters Joan Bliss of Whapeton, ND and Jackquelyn Shannon of Bradenton, FL, and brother Richard Richter of Battle Lake, MN.
His daughters Lisa and Jennifer Richter and sister, Sharon Richter precede him in death.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 8, 2005 at the Herman-Kinn Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services at 10:30 a.m.
Family and friends will be received at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Fremont on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Burial with military rites performed by the Fremont American Legion Post and V.F.W. at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde.
