Robert Bob E. Rinker, age 64, of Tiffin died early Tuesday morning, June 26, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo after a lengthy illness.
Bob was born on September 4, 1942 in Republic, OH to the now deceased Joseph and Bernice (Fortney) Rinker. A 1960 graduate of Bloomville High School and U.S. Army Veteran, he married Catherine (Kinn) Blott at the Sugarland Chapel in Gatlinburg, TN on July 30, 1994. She survives.
Bob was known to be a very kind person and always willing to help people, he also loved bowling. He worked in the maintenance department at Webster Industries in Tiffin until his retirement on June 24, 2004.
He is survived by children Gerald Rinker of Willard, Angelia (Skip) Russell of Bloomville, Tina Rinker of Nevada, OH, Duane (Christine) Shock, Tina (Rob) Newman and Carrie (Rob) Wilkinson all of Tiffin, Tim Blott of Fremont; sister Joanna Vance and brother Carl (Helen) Rinker both of Bloomville. Bob is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, stepfather Paul Shontz, son Alan Joseph and brother Bill Rinker.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2007 at 1 p.m. at the Christ Church of Tiffin, 2586 W. SR 224, Tiffin.
Memorial contributions in Bobs name may be made to the donors choice.
Arrangements were handled through the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Fremont.
