Lorenzo A. Rodriguez

Lorenzo A. Oso Rodriguez, 75 of Gibsonburg, died early Monday morning at Fremont Memorial Hospital. He was born on August 10, 1930 in Weslaco, TX to Apolinar and Elojia Aleman Rodriguez. In August 1955 he married Sulema Jaso and she survives. Lorenzo worked for the Pfizer Lime Company for 32 years working the kiln, retiring in 1980. He was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church. Surviving are sons Rudy (Rhonda) and Paul (Lucille) both of Gibsonburg, Lorenzo Jr. of New Mexico, Ted (Linda) and Armando (Kendra) of Fremont; daughters, Mary (Oscar) Martinez, Lindsay, Adela (Armando) Bustamante of New Mexico, 19 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and sister, San Juanita Diaz of CA. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Rudolfo, Dario, Aniceto, Jesus and sister, Quaquina Martinez.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Gibsonburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michaels Church with Fr. Ted Miller officiating. Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Diabetes Association or the donors choice in Lorenzos name.
