Harriet Jane Rosenberger

H. Jane (Gilliland) Rosenberger, 87 of Fremont, died Tuesday morning at Fremont Memorial Hospital. She was born on November 20, 1918 in Upper Sandusky to Doctor Vernon and Ann Eliza (Brown) Gilliland. On October 17, 1942 she married Earl O. Rosenberger at Grace Lutheran Church, Fremont. He died February 26, 1981. Jane was a graduate of Fremont Ross High School class of 1936, and had obtained a business degree from Tiffin University. She was a bookkeeper and secretary at Ohio Power and Erie Proving Grounds and retired from the Sandusky County Auditors office. Jane was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and a former member of the Sandusky County Republican Women Organization. She was also a volunteer for the Board of Elections. Jane enjoyed her loving family, especially the grandchildren, cross stitch, sewing, working cross word puzzles, being a 4-H advisor and helping with duties around the farm. Surviving are daughter, Patricia (Robert) Buehler, Fremont; sons, E. Thomas (Betty) of Fremont, Daniel V. (Kendalyn) of Sylvania Twp., James O. (Candace) of Fremont, Timothy L. (Sharma) of Vickery; eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and sister, Bernice Ann Myers of Whitehouse, OH. She is preceded in death by her husband, brother, Russell M. Gilliland, sister, Florence Patterson and granddaughter, Tiffany. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Fremont. Her body will lie in state beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, December 23rd at Grace Lutheran Church with the funeral service following at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Paul Gruetter will officiate. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde. Memorial donations may be made to Church, Williston Home of Mercy or the donors choice.
