Scott E. Russell, 57, of Fremont, died Saturday morning at his home. He was born on September 9, 1948 in Fremont to the now deceased Paul and Beulah (McKinney) Russell. Scott was a 1966 graduate of Fremont Ross High School and Terra Community College with an associate degree in Machining. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. On July 29, 1972 he married Lynne Burkett and she survives. Scott was a machinist at Atlas in Gibsonburg for ten years, Doehler Jarvis in Toledo for 18 years and Honeywell in Fostoria for five years. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, the Moose and the Eagles.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Paul (Penny) Russell of Fremont, one granddaughter, Paige and sister, Mary Ellen (Jim) Mumaw of Fremont.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Services will be held on Thursday, July 6th at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Paul Gruetter officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Memorial Hospital.
