Douglas Dean Saam, 32 of Fremont died Saturday, July 7, 2007 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo. He was born on October 30, 1974 to Dale & Deborah (King) Saam in Fremont. Douglas graduated from Clyde High School in 1994 and attended Vanguard studying industrial electricity. He worked for Spieldenner Carpet One in Fremont for several years. On October 26, 2001 he married Lisa Flick in Fremont and she survives. Douglas loved bowling, golfing, dirt track sprint car racing and he also attended Victory Christian Fellowship. Surviving are his children; Lesley, Tricia, Trina and Douglas James DJ Saam all at home, brothers; Dave (Angela) Saam of Clyde and Dorran (Anne) Saam of Fremont, step-sister; Sharlene Shindledecker and step-brother; Frank Pahinish. He is also survived by his parents & step-parents; Deborah & Leroy Stratton of Fremont and Dale & Norma Saam of Cridersville, grandparents; Vernon (Jealea) King of Fremont, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Luther (Geneva) Saam.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at Victory Christian Fellowship at 10:00 AM with additional visitation one hour prior to the service with Pastor Scott Robles officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont. Memorial donations may be made to his children c/o Fremont Federal Credit Union.
