Rosemary Schwartz

Rosemary T. Schwartz, 90, of Fremont, died on Thursday May 12, 2011 at Valley View Healthcare Center. She was born in Vickery, OH on October 19, 1920 to the now deceased Frank and Lillian (Schaeffer) Garvin. She graduated from Fremont Ross High School in 1938. Rosemary was joined in marriage with Carl Schwartz on February 1, 1945 at St. Anns Catholic Church, until his death in 1992. She was a homemaker and farm wife. She was a 4-H advisor for many years, and enjoyed playing cards.

Survivors include her children, James (Margaret) Schwartz of Hessville, Peg Schwartz of Fremont, David Schwartz of CA, Bill (Barb) Schwartz of Lindsey, and Janet Schwartz of Columbus; granddaughters, Jackie, Jen, Lesli, Amanda, and Kendra; step-grandson, Laythe; five great-grandchildren; siblings Ted (Jean) Garvin of Clyde, Joe (Mary) Garvin and Anne (Pat) Ziebold of Fremont. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl; brothers, John, Bob and Tim Garvin; a sister, Sr. Mary Justin (Betty) Garvin; and her loyal dog, Buddy.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, May 16, at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph Cemetery, with Father Tom Extejt officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Anns Catholic Church in Rosemarys memory.
