Helena resident Paul F. Seem, 83, died Saturday July 5, 2008. He was born to Roy and Edna (Metzger) Seem on October 13, 1924. Paul attended Gibsonburg Schools where he graduated in 1943. Paul worked as a surveyor for Sandusky County for many years and later retired from Eckrich.
He was a member of the NRA and he loved to fish. Paul passed on his enjoyment of the Detroit Tigers and Toledo Mud Hens baseball to his children, as well as his love of nature.
He is preceded in death by both of his parents; siblings Helen Fausey, Joyce Wagner, and Robert Seem. Paul is survived by his children Cathy Seem-Ruggiero of Vancouver, WA, Mary (John) Schuett of Gibsonburg, Lesa (Robert) Bowman of Milan, MI, Debbie Seem (Phil Smith) of Atlanta, GA, and Gail (Miguel) Montes of Oregon, OH; grandchildren Kyle Seem, Leah and Carl Schuett, Casey and Kelly Bowman, Delmonico and Marisol Montes, and Nicole Bloom; sisters Gladys Blausey of Elmore, Harley Seem of Helena, and Lola Boehm of Alexandria, VA.
Visitation for Paul will be held on Tuesday July 8, 2008 from 5-9 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Gibsonburg. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday July 9, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation starting 1 hour prior to the services. Burial will follow at Harris-Elmore Union Cemetery where military rites will be given by the Gibsonburg American Legion Post. Memorials in Pauls name may be made to Hospice of Memorial Hospital, Victory Christian Fellowship Childrens Department, or you may feel free to plant a tree or flowering bush in his remembrance.
