Audrey June Seman, 85, of Helena and formerly of California, died Thursday morning at Parkview Care Center, Fremont. She was born on January 23, 1922 in Ontario, Canada to the now deceased John and Pearl (Foster) Burd. Audrey was a 1940 graduate of Collinwood High School, Cleveland and had completed LPN courses in college. In 1941, she married John Seman in Cleveland, OH. He died in 1984. Audrey first worked as a nurse in rest homes in Cleveland and California. Later her interest turned to clerical work. She was employed at several businesses including Frito Lay, Ideal Block and Delux Checking until she retired in 1974. She was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother, devoted pet owner, member of the Womens Club, police volunteer and a volunteer at the St. Catherine's Thrift Shop all of Rialto, CA.
Surviving are children, Audrey Baumgarten of Geneva, OH, Ron (Karen) Seman of Helena, Bonnie (Dave) Zielski of Mammoth Lake, CA; 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and sister, JoAnne (Ted) Erb of Geneva, OH. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son in law, Dale Baumgarten, grandson, Shane Zielski.
Funeral services will be private.
Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Millersville.
Memorial donations in Audrey's name may be made to the Sandusky County Humane Society or Hospice of Memorial Hospital.
