Mother Hattie M. (Covington) Shepard

Mother Hattie M. (Covington) Shepard, 75, departed this life on Friday, April 25, 2003 at her Dickinson St. home in Fremont. She was born on January 22, 1928 in Adel, GA and is preceded by her parents, Willie and Elnora (Lowman) Covington. She was a member of the Ebenezer Church of God in Christ in Fremont for 23 years, was a devoted church mother and served the church anyway she could. A homemaker, Mother Hattie loved to pray, sew and enjoyed cooking. She cherished her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Her husband, Elder Clarence Shepard, precedes her in death. She leaves to mourn Willie (Morva) and Andrew Shepard both of Flint, MI, Dorothy (Robert) Atkins, Clarence and Homer Shepard of Fremont, Paula (Gary) Durden of Texas, 18 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, sisters, Mary Lawson, Sally Walton, Aldora Johnson and Uvena Halloman all of Abel, GA and a host of family and friends. Burial was at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, OH.
