David Smith

David Smith, 46, of Gibsonburg died early Saturday morning at his home. He was born in Fremont to the now-deceased Joseph D. and Helen L. (Zinser) Smith. David was a 1977 graduate of Gibsonburg High School and worked as a farm hand on his uncle's farm and also as a foundry worker for Harbor Manufacturing in Genoa. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Gibsonburg. Surviving are brother, Phil (Cindy) Smith of Gibsonburg, two nieces and two nephews and several aunts and uncles. He is preceded in death by sisters, Joyce Kansorka, Brenda Smith, along with his parents. Visitation: 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial: St. Lawrence Cemetery, Gibsonburg. Memorials: Muscular Dystrophy Association.
