Dorothy E. Smith, 68 of Tiffin, died early Thursday morning at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo. She was born on December 14, 1937 in Sandusky County to the late Edward and Ruth (Kern) Aldrich. On June 12, 1955 she married Kenneth Smith and he survives in Tiffin. Dorothy was a housewife and great mother and a member of the Nazarene Church of Gibsonburg. Surviving are sons, Charles E., Keith A., Todd D., Timothy L. all at home in Tiffin and Mark E. (Barb) Smith of Gibsonburg; grandchildren, Mark Smith Jr. of Bettsville, Cheryl Smith of Burgoon; great grandchildren, Jacob Smith of Fremont, Jordan Shaffer-Smith and Shyann Woodruff both of Burgoon; sisters, Lola Null of Gibsonburg, Iona Kopp of Perrysburg, Bonny Ashley of Alabama, Lillie Robinson of Helena, Anna Rose Robinson of Green Springs, Irene Chio of Millbury, Lula Bell Lash of Helena; brothers, Jack Aldrich of Helena, Fred Aldrich of Millersville and Ace Aldrich of Helena. Preceding her in death are son, Leslie Smith and brother, Ben Aldrich. Visitation will be on Monday, January 2 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Gibsonburg. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Eric Folk officiating. Burial will follow at Kansas Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the donors choice.
