Mildred R. Smith

Mildred (Bolfa) Smith, 85, of Gibsonburg, died early Thursday morning, June 1, 2006. She was born the daughter of Michael and Barbara Bolfa, on November 3, 1920 in Gibsonburg, Ohio. Mildred was a 1938 graduate of Woodville High School. On February 19, 1939 she married Marvin L. Smith and he died on June 23, 2003. Millie was a very active person in St. Michaels Church and was in the Rosary and Altar Society. Her family was her first priority. Her grand and great grandchildren were dear to her. She made many afghans for her family and friends. She and Marvin were involved with the Country Store and noodle making. They were also active in the Mended Hearts Chapter in Toledo.

Surviving is a son, Theodore M. Smith and his companion, Kathleen Stein of Latrobe, PA; three grandchildren, Craig (Mary Ann) Smith, Christopher Smith of Latrobe, PA, Julie (Michael) Schulte of Naperville, IL; two great granddaughters, Jillian Berry Schulte and Mackenzie Rose Schulte of Naperville, IL; son-in-law, Larry (Linda) Paul of Fremont. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Judith Paul; 4 sisters, Mary Dressel, Ann Patterson, Pauline Nemire, Clara Griffin; and 2 brothers, John & Frank Bolfa.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Gibsonburg with a vigil service in the evening. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michaels Catholic Church on Monday at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at West Union Cemetery, Gibsonburg.
