Patricia "Patty" M. Smith

Patricia Patty M. (Spears) Smith, 35 of Milan, died on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at the Cleveland Clinic after a 5 year long battle with her illness. No matter how she suffered, it was her prayer that her suffering be of benefit to others. She was born on October 12, 1975 in Sandusky, OH to Glenn Sonny and Judy (Meade) Spears and they survive in Norwalk. Patty was a graduate of Monroeville High School and had attended Lorain Community College studying Health Care Business Management. On December 17, 2004 she married Ken Smith in Bellevue and he survives. Patty was the office manager for Dr. Kelly and Dr. VonKaenal at the Ramey Family Medical Practice for many years. She was a member of Grace Community Church where she sang in the choir and was involved in the church. Pattys main goal in life was worshiping the Lord, spending time with her family, children, being a foster parent and to lead others to Gods kingdom.

Surviving in addition to her husband and parents, are children, Aubrie, Alex, Samson, Jacob and Zachary all of Milan; brother, Jimmy (Myrna) Spears of Bellevue, sister, Tammy (Robert Butch) Bores of Norwalk; eleven nieces and nephews, two great nephews and special aunt, Margie Savage. She is preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 28, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. at Grace Community Church, 900 Smith Rd., Fremont, OH and on Tuesday from 10 11 a.m. at the church. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday with Pastor Kevin Pinkerton officiating. Burial will be at Sandhill Cemetery.
