JayDee Smith, Sr.

JayDee Smith Sr., 59, of Fremont died early Wednesday morning at Windsor Lane Care Center, Gibsonburg. He was born in Phoenix, AZ to Paul Sr. and Viola (Tuffley) Smith. JayDee attneded Chula Vista High School and served in the U.S. Navy during peacetime. He married Edwina Metzger in 1970 and she died in1982. He later married Pamela Zweily on March 19, 1983 in Fremont and she survives. Also surviving are sons, Randy (Tammy) Smith of Oregon, OH, JayDee Jr. of Fostoria, Eddie (Tammy) and Shannon, both of Fremont, Andrew of Fort Seneca; stepdaughters, Becki (Craig) Donnell, Gibsonburg, Regan Cunningham of Findlay and Bobbi (Jim) Cantrell of Gibsonburg; sisters, Karla O'Connor of NY, Maria Wright of CA, Vicky Ferguson of AZ, and Fannid (Tiny) Chandler of CA; and 15 grandchildren. Preceding him are his parents, his first wife, stepson, Patric Cunningham, brother, Paul Jr. and sister, Margie Appleton. Visitation was on Friday, Oct. 22 at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont. Services were held on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial was at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde.
