Janette Spriggs

Janette Spriggs, 75, of Fostoria passed away Wednesday at her home. She was born in Gibsonburg to LeRoy and Dorothy (Travis) Orth. Janette graduated from Gibsonburg High School in 1947 and later married Joseph Paul Spriggs. He died in 1989. Janette worked in Fremont at Memorial Hospital for a while as a nurses aid and also at Altas Crankshaft in Gibsonburg for 25 years. She was a member of the Fostoria Senior Center and attended activities at the Rick Lonsway Center, Fostoria. Janette also attended Grace Community Church, Fremont. She enjoyed playing cards and crocheting. She is survived by son, Allen (Carolyn) Spriggs, of Florida; daughter, Catherine Biligili of Fostoria; sons, Edward (Willa) Spriggs of Fremont, Mike (Kathy) Spriggs of Tiffin, and Larry (Sandy) Spriggs of Florida; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Lucille Myers of Gibsonburg; brothers, John (Donna) Orth of Arizona and Dale Orth of Florida; and sister Donna Hayes of Florida. She is preceded by her parents, husband and brother, Calvin Orth. Visitation: 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Fremont. Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Kevin Pinkerton. Burial: St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Fremont Memorials: To the Rick Lonsway Center, Fostoria.
