Elsie S. Stahl, 93, formerly of Helena, died Thursday evening at Countryside Continuing Care Center, Fremont. She was born on October 29, 1911 to David and Mary (Fell) Spencer in Pomeroy, Ohio. Elsie graduated from Chester High School. On May 28, 1931 she married Harlin Stahl and he died on November 14, 1981. Elsie was a farmwife and loving mother. She was an active member of the First Church of God in Risingsun, the Rollersville Civic Club, Risingsun Senior Citizens and the Farm Bureau.
Surviving is daughter Leota (Jim) Bishop of Parma, OH, son James H. (Kathy) Stahl of Helena, daughter, Carol (Rick) Wonderly of Helena; 9 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters Margarite Rasp, Nora Holter, Hattie Frederick, Cora Singer, Bessie Argabrite, Jessie Orr & Verba McDole; brothers Henry Spencer and Harry Spencer.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 5 9 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Gibsonburg.
Services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Paul Rutledge officiating. Burial will follow at Scott Trinity Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made in Elsies name to the First Church of God, Risingsun.
