Florence Helen Steinberger

Florence Helen Steinberger, 87 formerly of Fremont, died early Tuesday morning at St. Francis Care Center, Green Springs, OH. She was born on June 29, 1918 in Fremont to John and Mary (Houck) Ochs. On February 25, 1941 she married Anthony Steinberger and he preceded her in death on April 13, 1998. Florence was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She enjoyed Cookbook collecting and loved cooking. Florence was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Blessed Sacrament Confraternity and the Friendship Circle Farm Womens Club. Surviving her are daughters Marigene (Robert) Bergefurd of Fremont and Ruth (Dennis) Shively of Dublin, OH; Three grandchildren Brad and Brett Bergefurd and Sarah Shively and 5 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her parents; a son, David Anthony; sisters, Olga Roth, Jean Michael and brother Walter Ochs.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Fremont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Francis Holy Name Chapel in Green Springs on Friday at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Raymond Fisher officiating. Additional visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at the Chapel. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery following the funeral mass. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Memorial Hospital in Florences name.
