William H. Billy Stierwalt, III, 18 of Fremont, died at Mercy Childrens Hospital, Toledo early Tuesday afternoon. He was born on October 2, 1986 to William H. and Cynthia (King) Stierwalt Jr. in Fremont. Billy was a member of St. Ann Catholic Community and a senior at Ross High School, where he was a member of the basketball team serving as manager for the past three seasons. He was an avid Michigan fan and loved all sports, especially the Detroit Lions, Cleveland Indians and Sprint Car Racing. This past summer he worked at Bassetts Market, Bellevue.
Surviving in addition to his parents are sisters Cynthia T. Stierwalt, at home, and Naomi G. Stierwalt, grandparents, Paul & Lola King, grandmother, Jean Stierwalt, Fremont, aunts & uncles Tom & Kathy Stierwalt, Fremont, Rick & Pat King, Grandville, MI and Mark & Sue King, Fremont.
Preceding him in death is his grandfather, William H. Stierwalt Sr.
Visitation will be on Saturday evening from 6-9 p.m. and Sunday from 1-9 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Fremont.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Anns Catholic Church with Fr. Jerry Chmiel officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Calvary section.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Billy Stierwalt Scholarship Fund care of the Croghan Colonial Bank, St. Anns Catholic Community, the MDA or Easter Seals.
