Ruth E. Stricker Brockmueller

Ruth E. Stricker Brockmueller went home to be with the Lord on May 25, 2006. She was born on January 6, 1918 to Burt & Iva (Metzler) Dudgeon of Helena. She graduated from Bettsville High School in 1935 and then attended beauty school. She worked until she married Felix Stricker on December 31, 1941 and he died in March 1985. The couple had three sons, Thomas of California, Jim (Janice) of Helena, and Ted and friend Holly also of Helena, three step-children; Lois (Finis) Norris of Indiana, Art (Laurie) Brockmueller, and Larry (Mary) Brockmueller all of Fremont. Ruth had 5 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She married Art Brockmueller in November of 1988. He was a kind and loving man, and brought a lot of joy into our family. He passed away in April of 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother; Burton Willis Dudgeon in 1977. Ruth attended St. Marys Catholic Church in Millersville where she belonged to the Altar and Rosary Society and to St. Francis Home Auxiliary. She loved pinocle, music, quilting and tole painting. She had an amazing ability to love. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 29, 2006 at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg from 4-8 PM. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at 1:00 PM at St. Marys Catholic Church, Millersville with Rev. Ted Miller officiating. Burial will follow at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery, Millersville. Memorial Donations may be made to St. Marys Catholic Church, Millersville.
