William Talbot

William Dollar Bill Talbot, 52, passed away unexpectedly Friday morning, August 26, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.

He was born in Fairbanks, Alaska on Ladd Air Force Base on September 14, 1952 to Donald R. and Doris (Opperman). They survive in Tiffin.

Bill started his work career summers between school years at Atlas Industries in Gibsonburg. He moved to Tiffin after graduating from Vanguard of Fremont Ross High School in 1970 and took a job at National Machinery. He then moved to Fremont working at Kingsway Rotor Plant unloading box cars until Union Carbide-Eveready Ralston hired him until the closing of the plant 25 years later. Bill was currently working for Cooper Standard Automotive Seal plant in Bowling Green, as a Class A Journeyman Mechanic.

He and his wife Penny (Gray) moved to Woodville and she survives. Also surviving are four daughters Jodi (Richard) Weltin of Fremont, JoAnn (Bryan) Markin of Burgoon and Juli and Hanna at home, twelve grandchildren Felicia, Shelbi (Ruba), Courtney, Briann, Cody, Nick, Taylor, Kennedi, Nathan, Hanna, Kylie, and Zachery, sister Linda (Jim) Kohl of Tiffin, several nieces and nephews and a great niece and great nephew.

Friends and family will be received at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Gibsonburg on Tuesday, August 30 from 1-3 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be at a later date.

Memorials may be made to his daughter, Hanna.
