Helen Mae Timmons

Helen Mae Timmons, 75 of Port Clinton, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 19, 2008. She was born on July 4, 1933 in Fostoria, OH to Deloy Sebring and Iva (Strausbaugh). Helen Mae was raised by her mother and stepfather, Ransom Essex and was a 1951 graduate of Risingsun High School. She is survived by her husband, John David Timmons whom she married on January 12, 1952 at United Brethren Church of Burgoon. Helen Mae was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren at Tall Timbers Campgrounds which the family owned and operated. Surviving are children, Dan (Patricia) Timmons of Port Clinton, Wilmer Edward (Debra) Timmons of Berlin Heights, Johnette (Steve) Cellier of Port Clinton, Charlotte (Dave) Galliher of Oak Harbor and John (Amy) Timmons of Port Clinton; Terry Blair who was like her own son; thirteen grandchildren, Dan, Becky, Ron, Joey, Marikate, Matthew, Meaghan, Christopher, Jason, Mellisa, Andrea, Krista and John; sister, Leah (Richard) Bateson and brother, Wayne (Louise) Essex. She is preceded in death by her parents, stepfather and brother, Buddy Sebring.

Visitation will be on Monday, December 22, 2008 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont. Services will be on Tuesday at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Ted Austin. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont.

Memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association or to Faith United Methodist Church, Port Clinton in Helen Maes memory.
