Amy C. Trausch, 72 of Fremont died at the Seasons of Life Hospice Tuesday March 27 in Parma, Ohio. She was born September 11, 1934 in Swanton to the now deceased Virginia (Leow) and Walter J. Hallett Sr.. Amy was a 1952 graduate of Swanton High School. She survived her first husband, Ralph W. Drummond. They were married on April 16, 1955. He died on August 15, 1969 at a work related accident. She remarried on February 9, 1973 to Kevin J. Trausch. He died on January 23, 2007
A homemaker, Amy worked in the cafeteria at Liberty Center Elementary School and at Otis Elementary in Fremont as a Library Assistant. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Amy was a volunteer for Memorial and Detwiler Hospitals and various school PTA's. Amy was an avid bowler and was proud of her many trophies, belonged to card club, and in addition enjoyed gardening and crocheting. Surviving are children, Thomas Drummond of Fremont, Susan (Larry) Fatica of Parma, Patricia Drummond-Slayton, Karen Drummond-Davidson both of Fremont and Katherine (Scott) Smith of Colorado Springs, Colorado, siblings Anne Drummond, the late Barbara Dudek, Frances (Norman) Brueshaber, Doris (James) Skalski, Dennis (Eva) Hallett, Sherman (Theresa) Hallett, Walter (Lynn) Hallett II, Mary Clark, and Michael (Susan) Hallett. 11 grandchildren, Andrea (Greg) Dannemiller, Christopher Fatica, Lauren Fatica, Kyle Slayton, Kaitlynn Slayton, David Davidson, Amanda Davidson, Joshua Davidson, Erica Smith, Derek Smith, and Sierra Smith, also survive.
Visitation will be on Friday, March 30, 2007, 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 900 North St., Fremont with a wake service in the evening. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2007 at 11 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church with Rev. Gerald Ceranowski officiating. Memorials made to Seasons of Life Hospice of Parma, OH and the Catholic Education Development Fund of Sandusky County. Burial will be Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at St. Richards Cemetery in Swanton.
