Kevin J. Trausch, 71 of Fremont died Tuesday morning, January 23, 2007 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo. He was born on September 25, 1935 in Williams County, OH to the now deceased Clarence P. and Mary E. (Deimling) Trausch. Kevin was a 1953 graduate of Anthony Wayne High School. He served in the United States Marines during peacetime. He served in the 8th Infantry Battalion. On February 9, 1973 he married Amy Hallett at St. Richards Catholic Church, Swanton and she survives. Kevin was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fremont, and a 3rd and 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, being a lifetime member. He was a Personnel Manager at Kiemle Hankins and the Haas Garage Door Company until retiring in 2000.
Also surviving are children, Thomas Drummond of Fremont, Susan (Larry) Fatica of Parma, Patricia Slayton, Karen Davidson both of Fremont and Katherine (Scott) Smith of Colorado Springs, CO; ten grandchildren; sister, Phyllis Barber of CA, brothers, Larry (Delores) Trausch of Toledo and John Trausch of Walbridge. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Janet Barnes.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 26 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont. The rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, January 27 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Don Mueller officiating. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. at St. Richard Cemetery, Swanton with military services provided by the US Marine Corps.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kevins name.
