Charles James Chuck Ulrich Sr., 67, of Oregon, surrounded by loved ones, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2006. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Chuck was born on September 27, 1938 to Peter & Anna (Pribis) Ulrich in the former Ironville. Chuck was a 1956 Clay High School Graduate lettering in varsity basketball and track under Coach Bill Coontz. Chuck was a retired shift foreman supervisor in the select and pack department of Libby Glass for 37 years. In his retirement, he and his son Tom owned Dairy Depot in Oregon, and Rossford, Chappys Pizzeria and Pub in Millbury, and was involved in Lil Rascals Childrens Resale Shop in Oregon with his wife and daughters. He spent a lot of his time cheering for his grandchildren playing sports. Chuck was an avid fan of the Pittsburg Steelers and College Basketball, especially Duke. He also enjoyed extensive travel to places such as Paris, London, Scotland, Bahamas, Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Acapulco, Aruba, St. Kitts, Punta Cana, and Jamaica, just to name a few. He also loved coaching his sons and daughters ball teams at Starr and Fassett Schools in Oregon and enjoyed watching them play sports. He also coached the boys softball team at Libbey Glass for many years, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Surviving are his loving wife, Barbara (Kinn) whom he married on January 13, 2004 on the beach in Sanibell Island. Although they were only recently married they have been together since 1984. He is also survived by his children, Kim(Keith) Davick of Denver, CO, Charles Ulrich Jr. of Denver, CO, Tom Ulrich of Oregon, OH, Tracy Ulrich of Perrysburg, OH and Rhonda (Robert) Cousino of Northwood, OH, 12 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; sisters, Virginia Lombardo of Oregon, OH, Elizabeth (Duke) Strance of Williston, OH, Mary (Al) Stoneman Monclova, OH, Mother in-law Mary Kinn of Bloomville; sister in-laws and brother in-laws; former wife Norma (Metin) Yuce of Lake Suzy, FL and many nieces and nephews. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Sister Suzanne and Mary Rose Ulrich, and two brothers Raymond and Peter Ulrich. There will be a celebration of his life Sunday, June, 18, 2006 from 1-5 PM at Bayside Boardwalk, 2759 Seaman Rd., Oregon, OH and all are welcome to attend. The family would like to thank the nurses and the entire staff of Hospice of Northwest Ohio, especially Robin, Susan and Kim for there compassion and loving care.
