William Lee Walker

William L. "Willie" Walker, 62, of Fremont, died at his home on Monday, March 3, 2008. He was born on October 28, 1945 in Shaw, Mississippi to William Lee Dickson and Naomi Walker Sims. Willie was a graduate of Fremont Ross High School and an Army Veteran serving in Vietnam. He worked at Lear Corporation, enjoyed watching western movies, previously was a semi-pro baseball player and had played football, track & baseball in high school. Willie enjoyed spending time with his family. He attended Ebenezer Church of God in Christ.

Surviving are his mother; children, DeWann W. (Mindy) Whetro of Clarksville, TN, Dana J. (Toshica) Walker of Fremont, Tiffany and Tasha Walker, both of Columbus, OH; five grandchildren; sisters, Sarah Gilchrist, Addie Hamer, Gloria (Mike) Cook, Tiny Sims, Lynn Sims, Annette Garcia, Crystal (Reggie) Lomax all of Memphis, TN; brothers, Arthur Ray Sims of Memphis, TN, Noel "Glenn" (Margaret) Sims and Jerry (Lisa) Sims of Fremont, OH; nieces & nephews, Angela, Reginald and Ronnie Gilchrist, Marilyn, Keith and Kevin Hamer, Lisa Ford, Tamika and Latosha Sims, Sherritha and Sonya Sims, Venessa Sims, Shanqueisha Williams, Antonio, Utopia, Tawanda and Christopher Sims all of Memphis, TN, Wayne Sims, Kendrick, Nathan and Natalie Sims, Noel Jr., Shavon and Taurus Sims, Quentin, Kiauna and Shanee Sims all of Fremont, OH; and many more nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
