Kenneth R. Walker, Sr., 65 of Helena, died early Monday, March 1, 2010 at his home. He was born on March 27, 1944 in Fremont to Willis and Charlotte (Best) Walker. Kenneth was a 1962 graduate of Gibsonburg High School and worked as a machinist at Teledyne CAE until retiring in 2006. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Kenneth enjoyed woodworking and was an avid bowler for over 47 years. On January 4, 1963 he married his High School sweetheart Diane Miller at Zion Lutheran Church, Gibsonburg and she survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are sons, Kenneth R., Jr. (Ginger) of Wilson, NC, Karl E. of Helena and Kevin L. of Clyde, OH; his mother, Charlotte and sister, Carolynne Cooper both of Fremont; grandsons, Jacob C., Justin R., and Nick R. Walker; and mother-in-law, Pauline McDaniel, nephew Paul (DeeDee) Cooper all of Fremont.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg. Services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg with Pastor Blair Miller officiating. Burial will follow at West Union Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice or to a charity of the donors choice in Kenneths memory.
