Florence A. "Flossie" Wasserman

Florence A. "Flossie" Wasserman, 96, of Fremont, died Saturday evening at Bethesda Care Center. She was born in New Brighton, PA to the now deceased John and Anna (Haely) Wurzel. On August 4, 1924, she married Walter W. "Watty" Wasserman in Monroe, MI and he died Aug. 5, 1980. A homemaker, Mrs. Wasserman was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Community and the Women of the Moose. She is survived by children, Jeanne (Jess) Van Ness of Fremont, Joseph John (Lois) Wasserman of Niland, CA, Nancy Beatty of Fremont, Patricia Hoffman of Gahanna, Dorothy Little of Gibsonburg and Daniel (Pat) Wasserman of Fremont; 19 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded by a grandson, a great-granddaughter, a great-great-grandson, brothers - William, Clarence, Samuel, Robert and Charles Wurzel and sisters, Helen Williams, Aileen Amos, Dorothy Franklin, Margaretta Hall and Mary Wurzel. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont.
