Ruth E. Weaver, 87, of Oak Harbor died Thursday afternoon, May 26, 2005, at the Bethesda Care Center in Fremont.
She was born May 16, 1918, the youngest child of Louis and Myrtle (Shatzer) Wise in Hancock County.
Ruth worked at several places throughout her life including the Erie Proving Grounds, General Electric, and the Elks and Diary Mart in Fremont. She retired in 1983.
She was a loving mother and grandmother and was especially fond of her Golden Lab, Sheila. Ruth also enjoyed wildlife, flowers and dining out.
Ruth is survived by her companion of 32 years Walter Bodi of Oak Harbor, son, Jack (Susan Atkinson) Rose of Fremont, grandchildren Ronda Kerekes, Lana Kindred, Michelle Rose and Ty Rose, six great grandchildren and sister-in-law Hilda Wise of Fremont.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Henry, Charlie, Roy, Clifford and Bob Wise and sisters Gladys Webb and Nellie Packer.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 29, 2:00 p.m., at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 900 North Street, Fremont where visitation will be Saturday, May 28, 2-4 & 6-9 p.m.
Burial will be at Four Mile House Cemetery, Fremont.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Memorial Hospital or to the donors choice.
