Philomena Zappia

Philomena Zappia, 66, formerly of Gibsonburg, died Thursday at Fairview Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Toledo. She was born in Gibsonburg to the now-deceased James and Mary (Pantaleo) Zappia. Philomena graduated from Gibsonburg High School in 1955. She is survived by her neighbor and best friend, Holly Perales and several cousins. She is preceded by her parents, siblings, Ralph, Frank, Josephine, Anna, and Thomas Zappia. Visitation was held on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2004 at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Burial followed at St. Lawrence Cemetery, Gibsonburg.
