Rev. Robert E. Zoeller, 76, of Fremont, died Sunday morning at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo. He was born on November 29, 1929 in Chillicothe, Ohio to Edward C. and Lucille (Steinour) Zoeller. He graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1948. He attended Wittenberg University, Springfield, Ohio from 1948-1950, served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-1955, and returned to graduate from Wittenberg in 1955. In 1954, he married Betty Rowland at Maple Grove Methodist Church near Washington Court House. He entered Hamma Divinity School in Springfield, Ohio and was ordained into the Lutheran Church in America in 1959. He served churches in Detroit, MI, Three Rivers, MI, Farmington, MI, Toledo, OH, Hilliard, OH, Canton, OH, Bluffton, OH and was full time visitation pastor at Grace Lutheran Church in Fremont, Ohio. He retired in 1995. Rev. Zoeller was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, Fremont. Surviving are his wife, Betty, and their four children; Diana (Peter) Fallot of Morenci, MI, Cynthia (Cleon) Wellington of Folsom, CA, Mark (Kathryn) Zoeller of Los Angeles, CA and Janet (Anthony Tony) Roussos of Westerville, OH; thirteen grandchildren and one great grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Fremont. Services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Johns Lutheran Church where the body will lie in state one hour prior to the services. Pastor Stephen Siebel will officiate. Burial will be private at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Chillicothe. Memorial donations may be made to the Lutheran World Relief c/o St. Johns Lutheran Church, 200 N.
