Gordon F. Lee

July 28, 1922 — December 24, 2011

Gordon F. "Gordie" Lee, 89, Carmel, IN and formerly of Melissa Drive in Fremont, Jesus reached down and lifted him into his arms on Christmas Eve, his favorite time of the year as he spent many years dressed as Santa Clause in front of his home passing out candy canes and a gospel tract telling the real meaning of the season. Gordie was born on July 28, 1922 in Clyde, Ohio the son of Fay and Mable (Heter) Lee. He retired from Moore Business Forms in 1985. He served in the U S Air Force during WW II, Graduated from Thompson High School in 1941 and was a member of Fremont Baptist Temple in Fremont, Ohio. Survivors include his wife, Mildred "Mickey" (Hughes) Lee whom he married March 27, 1948; son, Larry (Fran) Lee of Carmel, IN; daughter, Barbara (David) Calvert of Washington, WV; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren and a brother, Norman Lee. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home, Fremont, Ohio. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Fremont Baptist Temple in Fremont, Ohio with visitation at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held at Butternut Ridge Cemetery in Clyde, Ohio. Contributions may be made to the Fremont Baptist Temple or Bearing Precious Seed, both in care of the church.
